Hi Blake,
It sounds like you might be running Safari and Firefox in 64-bit mode. The TestGen Plug-in is still a 32-bit app (we're working on that). Try this with Safari:
What version of Firefox are you using? I think 4.0 runs in 64-bit which can be changed in a similar manner as stated above.
Let me know if this works for you.

Loaded the Fixed TestGen Font File and put one copy in /Users/name/Library/Font and /System/Library/Fonts and /Library/Fonts
Put both Firefox and Safari in 32bit mode

It no worky!!!!! argh. the TestPlugin page in safari show an empty space but if you try to highlight the page you can see where the box should be. The same page in firefox gives the error message "Error -3221 ...", then shows the but nothing is inside it.

Hi Jeff,
I am having the same issue as Blake, except that changing to 32-bit didn't help me.
I am a Mac OS 10.6.8 user running Safari 5.1. I installed the TestGen 7.5 plugin, as linked from the Brower Check page. I ensured the plugin file is located in my Internet Plugin folder in my Library folder on my hard drive. I also restarted Safari in 32-bit mode, and then restarted my computer when that didn't work. I still fail to see any image when performing the browser check. There is a blank white gap where the test image should be. My CourseCompass/MyMathLab class starts in a few days, and I fear I may be screwed on meeting the minimum system requirements... I would be so appreciative of any advice you may have.

I used this fix last year
I used this fix last year and worked on tests as late as last March. Today (May 28), I am unable to see my test banks/tests again. Tried the whole procedure again with no luck. I'm using OS 10.6.7. Am not using the plug-in, just locally on my Mac to create/view tests. Has anything changed since March?

Never mind! Restarting my machine corrected the font problem. All is as it was.

I'm using the Triola book in teaching a course, and can not longer
use the test generator despite downloading testgenrg.otf from this site,
which is claimed to work for Mac OS X 10.6.7 (current laptop I use).
In particular I can't create a pdf file of a test I make with the generator.
Are there no fixes that work?

Hi Peter, Some
Hi Peter,
Some questions:
(1) What version of TestGen are you using?
(2) Did TestGen work on your 10.6.7 machine and then stop working, or did you recently upgrade from a previous version of the OS and now experience problems?
(3) Are you seeing the behavior noted in this thread (eg: missing testbank names, chapter names missing, etc)? If not, what is the specific behavior(s) you are experiencing?
The fix works (and we have a new version out as well); however, there may be something amiss with your machine which I will help you fix.
