Managing page breaks on exam versions

We need a way to manage where the page breaks fall before printing to the final pdf file for paper tests. Too often, a larger image or table that I have students fill in gets split between two pages on one of the exam versions I generate. It would be nice to have a way to either permit scrambling of only sections of exams (multiple choice but not essays) or preview and adjust page breaks before the exams are printed.

Try this:

  1. Select the item you would like to have the page break above by clicking the item number.
  2. Go to the insert menu and select page break.
  3. A nonprinting horizontal line appears on the test to indicate the page break and the selected item will be pushed to the next page of the test.

To remove the page break, left click the horizontal line to select it and press the delete key.
