Importing questions from Test to Testbank

I understand the problems associated with importing questions from Word to a Testbank. I am seeking a way of importing questions generated with TestGen and saved in a Test into a Testbank. I don't see any way of doing this. Help!

Hello lgleduc,

Here's how you save test (.TST) questions into a testbank (.BOK):

  1. Launch TestGen and go to the "Tools" menu and select "Preferences->Application Preferences".
  2. Click the "Testbank Editing" tab and choose "Enable testbank editing". Click OK to save changes.
  3. Go to the "File" menu and choose "Open" to open an existing testbank, or create a new testbank using the ""New Testbank" menu choice. Your testbank should open in the right pane.
  4. Go to the "File" menu and choose "Open". Select the test (.TST) you want to copy the questions from in the file picker (you may have to tell the picker to look for ".TST" extensions). Your test should open up in a new TestGen window.
  5. Select one or more questions from the test, and choose "Copy".
  6. Go to the testbank window, select the position you'd like to insert the questions after, and click "Paste". Your questions will save into the testbank.
