adjust margins and page size

Please tell me how to adjust the page size by setting the left, right top and bottom margins and get rid of or reduce headers and footers.

I am using mac running leopard 10.

I do not mean simply using page setup to choose the paper size. I mean to manually adjust the page parameters.

I cannot find anything on this.

TestGen Forums:

To adjust the margins on a test page, open the Page Setup dialog. Use the drop-down menu to change the Settings field to "TestGen". This displays the margin settings that you can change for the test.

To alter or delete the test headers and footers, double-click the existing test heading, which by default says "Exam" and "Name". This opens the Header & Footer Editor where you can make modifications.

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately on my page setup dialog box there is only one choice which says "Page Attributes" and, in particular, there is no testgen choice.

Perhaps my installation has a problem. I will check it out.

David,

I don't think there is anything wrong with your installation. It appears you found a bug with the page setup dialog box. We were able to reproduce the bug on our 10.5 and 10.6 test machines. The dialog box does work on 10.4 and older though. By chance, do you have access to an older mac somewhere? If you set the margins on the older machine it should carry over to your 10.5 machine.

Sorry for the issue, we're looking into how to fix it.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff

This probably also explains another strange behavior. My wife has an older imac (G5) and then we each have newer imacs (intel). Exactly the same test on the old mac shows 10 problems on a page and only 8 problems on all the newer macs. This is exactly why I wanted to change the margins. Looking at the test on the screen it is clear that the lines are longer on the old mac than they are on the newer ones.

It would be very nice to resolve this issue.

Thanks again

David Gilliam
