Used Questions

Is there an indicator showing questions used? So I don't reuse questions previously used in a test.

TestGen Forums:

There isn't a built-in indicator for previously used questions in TestGen at this time. However, you can use the comment area on testbank questions to document and filter out questions that have been used. The steps are as follows:

  1. Enable testbank editing. (Tools->Preferences->Application Prefs->Testbank editing tab)
  2. Edit the testbank and activate the comment field. (Tools->Preferences->Testbank Options->Descriptors tab)
  3. Open a test in a separate window, and transfer a question from the testbank to test.
  4. On the testbank question, add info into the comment area as an indicator you used it on a test.

By doing this, the modification date of the question will change so you can then filter the testbank content (Tools->Filter Testbank Content) to not show questions that have been modified for future test creation.
