TestGen on Mac Crashes

I am using TestGen version 7.6.5 on Mackbook Pro, OS 10.13.6.

With testgen open, I highlight a test bank on the library panel. Then go to "View" and click "Testbank Setup" and the program crashes, closes down.

Thanks.

TestGen Forums:

Are you experiencing this problem with every testbank, or just with one specific testbank? If it's just one testbank, the testbank file may have been corrupted, in which case you should download a fresh copy from wherever you obtained the file, or restore a copy from backup.

It does this on all test banks. If I highlight a test bank on the left panel, then clock "View" and then "Testbank Setup" the program immediately closes.
Does the same thing if I put the testbank in "Edit" mode on the right panel and select Testbank Setup.

It's possible that your library index has become corrupted. To rebuild it, do the following:

1) Quit TestGen.
2) From the Finder "Go" menu, select "Go to folder..."
3) Enter "~/Library/Preferences/TestGen" and click "Go"
4) Delete the "library.tgl" file
5) Re-start TestGen.

At this point, TestGen should ask you if you want to search your hard drive for testbanks. Click "Yes". If it doesn't ask, select "Locate Testbanks" from the "File" menu and click "Ok".

Still crashes. I renamed the file and then opened TG. I answered NO to finding test banks (I have close to 100 on this computer). I then added just two test banks for a test and same result. Select a test bank; View-->Testbank Setup--->TestGen closes.

This is something of a long shot, but you could try completely resetting your preferences:

1) Quit TestGen.
2) From the Finder "Go" menu, select "Go to folder..."
3) Enter "~/Library/Preferences/TestGen" and click "Go"
4) Delete all the files in this folder
5) Re-start TestGen.

If this doesn't work, please contact Tamarack using the contact form so we can arrange for a troubleshooting session.
